I personally love music. I enjoy listening to songs while killing my time, or during long hours of travelling. I have my favorites and I have those which stayed and still stay in my playlist for a very long time.
These days, I have been enjoying my Spotify Premium subscription since it gives me freedom to play songs by just browsing and even saving songs for offline listening. Lots of tracks are in Spotify and what's even good is you can share your saved songs and playlists to up to three of your own devices.
Spotify is said to have contributed a lot to artists revenue by giving pay-outs to the artists based on how the [artists'] songs were frequently played by Free and Premium users of Spotify. -see an article here, Spotify Explained
Now, let's go back to what this blog is all about. Yes, I am going to share some of my favorite artists and the song(s) I like the most in their album!
<now, this is mixed. OPM and non-OPMs are on this list...> :-)

*Sans the rowdy music but plus the soulful vocal.
favorite lines:
"Can't stop my heart when you shinin' in my eyes, I can't lie, it's a sweet life. I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight."
- Artist/Band: Jessie J
- Frequently played song: Flashlight

*Monodramatic, period.
Who among those Silent Sanctuary fans out there recognized immediately who I am talking about? Of course! by just seeing Monodramatic, you know it's them. Monodramatic is the band's 4th album (latest is Langit. Luha) and obviously my favorite amongst the tracks is Sa'yo. Silent Sanctuary is a 5 piece band that got famous with their songs Kundiman and Ikaw Lamang. Sa'yo is a very emotional song of a person asking someone to admit his/her love if he/she really does.
favorite lines:
"Kung tunay nga ang pag-ibig mo, kaya mo bang isi ga w, iparating sa mundo..."
Fact: I personally like Kismet before I heard Sa'yo.

*Who has Tom Hanks on a music video?
Yeah, again, the question. Who has Tom Hanks on a music video dancing? Uhum. It's Carly Rae Jepsen and her song I Really Like You. I got to see the music video first and maybe because of that it made me searched for it and made me play it every single day! I Really Like You is very upbeat, very catchy and a very happy music.
If you are having a bad day, listen to this song!

*A female singer song writer fronted act
Fronted by its powerful vocalist with a sweet voice, Barbara Jeanne, along with its band members, Persephone is no of a newbie on gigs held here in Metro Manila and even on some TV and radio shows.
This 4 piece alternative band released its digital self titled album under GMA Records way back 2013. The album has 12 original tracks, all of which are available for download at iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and OPM2Go.
Fast fact: Barbara Jeanne, is the composer of Julie Ann San Jose's hit song Bakit Ngayon, MSB (My Sweet Boy) and some of Kylie Padilla's song on her album.
Among the 12 tracks, my favorites are 1,2,3 and Love Begets Love.
Favorite lines:
1,2,3 - "Why do you, always break my heart... and why do you, always tear me apart..."
Love Begets Love - "I open my eyes and now I realized, you are my paradise..."

*All the good things of UDD
Yes, yes! Of course! They are on my playlist. Curt Smith of Tears for Fears love them, Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile collaborated with them for the song Feelings. Who am I not to loooooooooovvvvveeee them?
Up Dharma Down has been in the music industry since 2004 and releasing albums all under the independent label Terno Recordings. It has always been hard for me to define their genre because it's always not one or two mixed together. But the hell! We don't need to define the genre, we need to listen to them!
While most teens nowadays knew the band because of the song Tadhana which became the Official Sound Track (OST) of Ilumina and the indie movie hit That Thing Called Tadhana, - there was I, singing and tapping my fingers on the table while listening to Turn it Well.
favorite lines:
"Take them frames off, turn your head, say it when my left ear needs it, no girl can resist it. Don't you hesitate, Sea Eyes, baby you can turn it well."
Recently, Up Dharma Down released a new song in collaboration with Your Singapore (Singapore Tourism Board). The song, which is also my current LSS is All The Good Things.
favorite lines:
"A way of life by chasing moments. New to all the good things, good things... I am new to all the good things, good things..."

That's it for now! I have just decided that I will be updating or making a new list of my top music artists and their songs once in a while. I hope you got some idea on who to listen to or what songs to download.
'Till next time!
